We Are A Community Of Learners
Cedars International Academy offers a project and problem-based learning curriculum that allows students to be creative. Projects are fully aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and are delivered in classes with small teacher student ratios. With a focus on academics and technology, we provide our students with diverse and dynamic learning experiences.
All students receive instruction in Spanish, art, music, and physical education. Peer groups led by the school counselor offer students training in essential social skills such as dealing with feelings, managing stress, and solving problems. A variety of after school activities offer additional opportunities for social development and experiential learning in a fun and creative environment.
Cedars has established a child-oriented but challenging environment designed to help students achieve their full potential. Using positive reinforcement strategies, the staff encourages students to show initiative, take responsibility, and build life-long learning habits. Cedars encourages a strong community spirit by emphasizing the basic school values, “The 3 B’s“: Be safe. Be responsible. Be respectful. Students are inducted into a House System where students focus on our core values: Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, and Perseverance.
Cedars offers a free breakfast and lunch program. A separate after school care program is offered at hourly or monthly rates and includes snacks. Contact our office to arrange a meeting and a virtual tour of the campus.
